The Candle Maker
Hi, my name is Cailin, I am the owner and candle maker of Ember Meadows. I do pretty much everything when it comes to running my small business. I do the candle making, testing, marketing, designing and so much more.
I started this small business in August of 2022 during my senior year of high school. Since I was 7, I have always wanted to start my own business. I wasn't really sure what I wanted to make and sell, but I always enjoyed being creative. During my senior year, I had the opportunity to join an art market class that taught me how to start a business, and that opened the door for me to do what I've always wanted. I decided to make and sell candles, because I absolutely love them! After lots of research, testing and candle making; I was able to start selling in December of 2022.
What was once a dream, is now a reality all part of God's plan! I am so glad that I started this business and I can't wait to see what more God has planned for me!
Our Process
Each of our 100% soy candles and wax melts is hand-poured in small batches to make sure you have the best quality. We have a wide variety of fragrances so that there is something for everyone to love. Wooden wicks are a simple yet special touch that gives a pleasant crackling sound when lit. We never rush when making candles. We pay attention to every detail, from choosing the perfect scent to carefully packaging each candle for shipping. We put so much love into these candles and we hope you love them as well.
Why Wood Wicks
Why did we choose to use wooden wicks instead of cotton wicks in our candles?
Wooden wicks are a simple but special touch to create a pleasant ambiance in your home or workplace. As it burns, it makes a lovely crackling sound that is generally more calming than traditional cotton wicks.
Unlike cotton wicks, wooden wicks don't mushroom or bloom. Wood wick candles produce minimal carbon, soot, and debris.
Just remember to always trim the charred wood from the previous burn and you will have a bright and clean candle!
